Shiai Format:

• Divisions with 4 or more contestants will use a modified double elimination bracket (The champion will not have a loss).
• Divisions with 3 or less contestants will use a pool bracket.
• First, Second, and Third place will be awarded to each division.
• Changes may be made at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

No changes to the following rule will be considered:

• No contestant may move down an age group.

Shiai Divisions:

*Bantam divisions could be co-ed, depending on the numbers of entries.
*No double knee seoi nage in all Bantam divisions.

• Weight divisions are created based on available contestants. Every attempt will be made to ensure fair competition for all contestants (age and weight divisions are subject to change to ensure the safety of the contestants).
• Contestants who move up to a division by their own choice will be subject to the rules for that division.
• Contestants who agree to move up to a division at the request of the Tournament Committee will be identified and subject only to the rules pertaining to their original rank/division.
• Contestants can enter a maximum of 2 divisions.
• Minimum senior rank of Sankyu is required to compete in the Black Belt Division.
